The third oldest engineering college in India…! Yes! You heard me right! College OF Engineering Pune [COEP] is the third oldest engineering college in India established in 1854. This college has been instrumental in tapping vast pool of talents that every student possesses, thus giving this nation many researchers, sportspersons, entrepreneurs, bureaucrats spanning a stretch of 150 years. This college has also imprinted its footprint in technical as well as non-technical fields achieving exemplary success and holds festivals like Mindspark, Zest and Regatta which are recognised on a national level.
The One with the Main Hall
It is in this iconic structure where students seek their sanctum for a place to study. The Vishveshvarrya Karandak, a state level debate competition is held inside this heritage building. One can imagine the feeling when you get to express your views in front of a crowd in this amazing building with a rich cultural heritage.
The One with the Auditorium
Our own ‘Broadway theatre’..! This auditorium is a great platform to showcase your skills. It is a second home for the cultural team which has won the prestigious purushottam mahakarandak as well as firodiya karandak and many other competitions. It has given the film industry stalwarts like Vaibhav Tattwawadi and Atul Kulkarni.

Drops like pearls pelting down, swelling up of the Mula river makes you feel like you are in the lap of nature. Watching the gentle flow of river, the boats flowing merrily on riverfront and dazzling beams of sunlight reflected from surface of water gives you paradise bliss.
The green backdrop and a cup of coffee make it a great ‘Katta’.!

The One with the Mechanical Drawing Hall
Endless nights spent slogging it out on drafters and imperial sheets.! A drawing hall which resides in memories of every mechanical engineering student. Be it machine design sheets or projects; this drawing hall is an irremovable part of every mechanical engineering student here.

The One with the Kayaks and Boats
For the past 88 years, the COEP Boat Club has maintained its status as both a relic of a rich legacy, and as a respected cornerstone of the institution. And the kayaks of the Boat Club represent the essence of the values most cherished by us COEPians; perseverance, passion and discipline.

Trivia is he himself carried the cement bags up the stairs for the work and I was there to help him. Went in to become General Secretary in 2008-09.
