MIT-WPU being one of the top university and best college in India boasts of the best infrastructure facilities and application of varied teaching methodologies and TEXEPHYR, a united technical carnival, marked the beginning of the new era, the new trend wherein the various departments of MAEER’s Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune mutually organized this National Level event. This created a platform to take forward the spirit and to reinforce our commitment towards sustainable development.
TEXEPHYR, an amalgamation of two words – Technology & Zephyr, signifies the change brought upon by sparking innovative minds. TEXEPHYR is a platform to celebrate technology, scientific thinking and innovation. Students participate in events like coding, circuit building, robotics etc. to explore beyond the domain of conventional knowledge, thereby challenging their imagination, logic, wit and creativity. Non-tech events like Box-soccer and Box-Cricket which take place on the ground add joyful colours to the event.
TEXEPHYR 2018 acts as a bridge between Industry and Students, providing them a platform to interact with each other as well as student gets the insight of the current industry requirements. This is realised by organising events like BE, TE Project which are based on various real life problems. Organising such events on a large scale ensures practical exposures to students and to appreciate their effort we honour them with certificates and cash prizes.
The festival, for the past three years has adopted themes based on the development schemes launched by the Government of India. Texephyr’15 was based on Swachh Bharat while Texephyr’16 promoted Digital India. Going with the series TEXEPHYR’17 focused on the theme of Smart City. This year TEXEPHYR’18 opted the theme of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s Vision 2020 under which we plan to “Ignite, Innovate and Inspire” the minds of youth to build a smarter, better future.
