LEOTHON is the annual marathon organised by the LEO CLUB OF PUNE(PRIME) BHARATI VIDYAPEETH DIST. 3234-D2 in the month of January. The marathon celebrates active lifestyle, helping everyone around while having fun and all for a good cause. Every year they have a cause which we support and promote throughout the event. They have had themes like Legalizing Prostitution and Awareness about depression and suicide amongst in the past.
The year 2020 marks the fourth season of Leothon. This year their theme is ROAD SAFETY. The event will be held on Sunday, January 19 2020 at 5:30 am in the morning. The marathon has a course of 4km starting from the Bharati Vidyapeeth University front Gate, Katraj and concluding at Citypride, Satara Road.
The last edition of Leothon witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 200 participants from all age groups. People enjoyed competing in the marathon, they were provided with water and hydration at various checkpoints along the course. People who witness the marathon duly support the cause we promote.
After the conclusion of the marathon, every participant is provided with refreshments. The participants who win the marathon in various categories are awarded with medals, gift hampers and sports merchandise from our sponsors. Also, the participants who compete the course of the marathon are presented with medals and merchandise.
