The Consulting and Strategy Club of SIBM Pune proudly presents Aankalan 4.0, a premier national-level guesstimate competition designed to challenge participants’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. As part of the Annual Consulting Conclave, Aankalan provides a unique platform for students to develop a crucial corporate skill—guesstimation.
What is Aankalan?
Derived from the Hindi word “Aankalan”, meaning “estimate,” the competition is crafted to refine participants’ ability to deconstruct complex problems, analyze assumptions, and make strategic business decisions. It is an excellent opportunity for students to test their skills in a real-world business scenario and showcase their logical reasoning abilities.
Event Structure
Aankalan 4.0 consists of two challenging rounds designed to test participants’ ability to think on their feet and solve intricate problems.
Round 1: Guesstimate Submission Round
Date: 16th February 2025 (9:00 AM) – 22nd February 2025 (11:59 PM)
- Participants will receive a business caselet and must submit a concise 3-slide PPT/PDF solution showcasing their logical reasoning and approach.
- Evaluation criteria: Methodology, clarity, and problem-solving ability.
Round 2: Grand Finale
Date: 1st March 2025
- Top teams from Round 1 will battle it out in a live online guesstimate round, showcasing their strategic thinking and quick decision-making skills.
