Popularity Index
Well known among the local students as Shahu college, it is not much well known outside its area. But it’s been just 11 years that they’ve been around so it’s justified.
Location
How to reach RSCOE?
Address: Survey No.80, Pune-Mumbai Bypass Highway, Tathawade, Pune, Maharashtra 411033
14 mins from Jagtap Dairy Bus Stop
25 mins from Kalewadi Phata
20 mins from Chinchwad Railway Station
Accessibility is a huge problem here. You need to apply for college bus transportation which will again set you back by ~15k.
Infrastructure
The infrastructure of RSCOE is OK OK. Not good and not bad and satisfies all average and fundamental requirements. The hostel facility is not that good. No proper recreational ground.
Crowd
There’s nothing extraordinary about the crowd here. Most of the crowd here is like Chathur from the movie 3 Idiots. You’ll also spot some of the rural students coming to college in tractors and open-top Gypsies.
Extra Curricular
RSCOE organizes a techno fest every year which is called as Innovision and students from nearby colleges do participate in this event in great numbers. Another event that is named as Gandhary is the annual cultural event of RSCOE.
Placements
Will I get placed?
The majority of the crowd gets placed in KPIT, TCS, L&T and Infosys. The Computer and E&TC department of RSCOE record high placements every year. But the problem with the E&TC department is that even though you study silicon circuits, capacitor, Nyquist plots and 3-phase bullshit for 4 years, but in the end beta tu to Java hi karega! Buhahahah!
Faculty
Faculties are the corner-stone of RSCOE. Highly experienced faculties coupled with high quality teaching-learning processes are the reasons behind high acedemic results in this college.
Attendance
The attendance rules here are very strict. Often parents end up being at the receiving end of these rules. Some students also end up being detained.
Fee Structure
The basic RSCOE fees for UG course ranges somewhere in the range of 1.08 lacs to 1.10 lacs per year. The parents end up having holes in all available pockets. Yes the inside pockets too!
Overall Review
Other than the hefty fees, there’s nothing that bad about this college. Average cut-offs and strict faculty is a deadly combination that has worked for this college in winning the hearts of parents. If there were a ‘Parent’s Choice Award’ for engineering colleges, this college would totally nail it!
