Film: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice
Duration: 151 minutes
Cast: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter.
Director: Zack Snyder
Well to start off this one really disappoints if you go in with any expectations of it being a blockbuster.
After you come out of the theater, you always have questions in your mind (Especially if it is a Nolan Movie). This movie gives you a similar feeling but in a completely different sense (Why did Zack have to spoil the fun in this movie as well :\. *As if Man of Steel wasn’t enough* ).
Now I honestly accept the fact that Zack is desperately trying to create a DARK universe for D.C. but given the fact that movies like Batman : The Dark Knight and Batman Begins were great, the equations certainly didn’t level up in this one. It all seemed as if Ben Affleck was trying to make-up for the grief people suffered while watching Jesse being casted as Lex Luthor. (Spoiler : He tries real hard to tickle the funny bone, wonder why he wanted to be more of Joker to the Superman and less of Lex to the MOVIE).
The 1st half was super chaos….! I wonder if the director really wanted us to see his pastiche. This half gives an overview of the beliefs that each hero has and their perception of ‘Justice’. Jesse comes into the mix with his over-done act of Lex Luthor. Amy Adams comes in real quick (unexpected) and makes the scenes complicated and as the director would want, everything remains unanswered and in-the-“Dark”. In this half, the sequences seemed to be disarrayed, the characters just kept coming in all at once. The background score could not extricate the dying grace of the movie. After a lot of patchwork and drama the 1st half ends.
Coming to the 2nd half, the movie gets some life as the action sequences and batman’s gadgets show up. The antagonist in the movie seems to be Lex (who really didn’t seem the shady kind of person). This half is the only reason you will feel like something worked fine in the movie. Nothing major to talk about in terms of action. Everyone seems above average with the dialogues and screen presence. Christian Bale is dearly missed although Zack finds his match for a aphotic Batman in Ben. Henry Cavill was just OK. Gal Gadot did well with the Wonder Woman character. Her character was given ample time on the screen to make her importance felt.
Closing words :
The movie was just above average. The director could have done better with the characters and the scenes could have been better justified. Background score should have been better. The movie lacks that SUPERHERO sort of aura. Huge mountain to climb if Justice League is anything to match even an Iron Man Movie.

Just About Average
Summary : Not worth the hype. You'll be disappointed if you expect too much out of this movie. Could have been better.
