Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Pune, successfully hosted Barcode 2024 on the 5th and 6th of October, bringing together the brightest managerial minds from top B-schools across India. The event, which has grown into one of the most prestigious inter-collegiate fests, saw over 500 participants and corporate leaders as judges, delivering an unforgettable experience.
A Line-Up of Challenging Competitions
The event kicked off with intense competitions organized by SIMS’ various clubs, each offering unique and intellectually stimulating challenges.

Finance Club “INFINITE” presented Financial Frenzy, where participants showcased their financial acumen.
The Corporate Presentation Team held Pitch Plot, testing the participants’ ability to deliver high-stakes presentations.
Marketing Club “SMARK” hosted Auction Theory, where strategic decision-making came to life.
Operations Club “NOESIS” organized the EPILOGUE case study competition, pushing participants to solve complex operational challenges.
The Academic Cell ran BIZWIZ, a quiz that covered a wide spectrum of business knowledge.
SIMSET Club (Economics Club): Presented The Rise of the Rebels, pushing participants to analyze and navigate complex economic situations.
The Flagship Event: Best Manager
The crown jewel of Barcode 2024 was the 36-hour Best Manage competition, organized by the Events Cell. This flagship event tested participants’ managerial prowess through continuous rounds of evaluation. After gruelling tasks and relentless assessment, one emerged victorious, cementing their place as the ultimate managerial champion.
A Musical Grand Finale
After two days of intense competitions, Barcode 2024 culminated with a spectacular musical band performance, featuring melodious Bollywood and retro hits. The event closed on a high note, providing attendees with a moment of celebration and reflection after a weekend packed with intellectual challenges and camaraderie.
Barcode 2024 truly went “Beyond the Horizon,” successfully blending academic excellence with creativity and collaboration, leaving participants and organizers alike eagerly anticipating next year’s edition.
