COEP Technological University established in 1854, is the third oldest engineering college in Asia. Impressions, the annual cultural fest of COEP Tech saw its inception in 2016, and started with the motto – ‘By the artist, For the artist’. Our belief here at Impressions 2023 is to provide amateur artists with a platform that is culturally diverse, artistically creative, and respectfully gracious.
Artify presents Impressions 2023, the 8th edition of COEP Technological University’s annual cultural festival, scheduled to take place from the 17th to the 19th of December 2023. Impressions stand as a dynamic student-led event festival, featuring many immersive proshows, an in-campus concert and 25 competitions organized across 6 modules. Attracting participants from all across India, our festival is a showcase for a variety of artistic skills.
The theme for this edition is ‘नवरस- A MOSAIC OF EXPRESSIONS’, which lets our inner artist shine through our emotions and dance to the rhythm of Impressions 2023.

We at Impressions have had the honour to host multiple influential personalities like Sachin Pilgaonkar, Pankaj Tripathi, Swapnil Joshi and remarkable artists like Anuv Jain, Sushant Pujari, Amandeep Singh, Vaibhav Ghuge, Shalmali Kholgade and many more during our previous editions.
Impressions’23 kicked off with an insightful event, ‘You Grow Girl!’ by Miss. Navya Naveli Nanda and continued with exciting workshops such as Pottery and Garba, providing a blend of serene creativity and lively cultural celebration. This year we introduced our new welfare initiative, ‘Muskaan’, which aims to bring out hidden talents and spread joy and compassion. Additionally, promotional pre-events were held at Phoenix – Mall of the Millennium and Wassup Flea.
Various competitions have been arranged to provide a platform for artists across different modules, including:
Music: Exhibit your musical talents in the competitions- Bomb a Drop, High Current, Saavani, Stay Tuned, POONA-०५, and Boots-n-Cats.
Dance: Express your skills, from classical to hip-hop in the competitions- Swa(g)desi, So-Duet, Nrityangana, and Heat the Beat.
Camera: Showcase your photography skills in competitions- Lensart and Reelscapes.
Arts & Crafts: Demonstrate your artistic abilities in competitions- Game of Shades, Coloursplash, Graphix, Doodly – Doo, and Cirकला.
Abhinay: Present your skits and express your emotions in competitions- Artiskit, Limelight, Suno-Suno.
Shoutout: Portray your emotions through words by participating in competitions- Andaaz-e-Bayaan, Anecdote, Comiking, Verse-a-tile, Taleteller.
After the resounding success of featuring Mrs. Shalmali Kholgade in our first ever in-campus concert, Impressions’23 is now set to elevate the excitement even further!
Brace yourselves for another sensational experience as we proudly announce the upcoming concert by the one and only, Mr. Nikhil D’Souza, who has sung many hit songs over the years like Anjaana Anjaani Ki Kahani, O Gujariya, Jannatein Kahan, Vaaste and many more.
