Flag Selling Event to be organized by Leo Club of Bharati Vidyapeeth to Help Underprivileged Kids of Pune

“One should not be content with one’s own welfare alone, but should look for one’s own welfare in the welfare of all.”

Rightly so and the best way to find yourself, is to lose yourself in order to help others. Even one person can make a difference and that is what is required. One of the most prominent and hardworking social club of the city “LEO CLUB OF BHARATI VIDYAPEETH PUNE (PRIME) DIST. 323-D2”, has been working for the past 20 years and believes in making a difference. The Club believes in giving opportunities, providing experience and producing imminent leaders. One such difference-making event is conducted by the club on Independence Day, “15th AUGUST FLAG SELLING” event.

The members of the club step out on the roads of Golibar Maidan Chowk with the Pride of our Nation, “The National Flag” made by the kids adopted by The Sopekar Family. This family aids the society by adopting the under-privileged kids and bringing them up. They take care of their education and other needs and support them till their marriage. The club on this day steps out and sells these flags in varying prices, depending on what the person taking the flag has to offer and then donates it to the family. The members walk up to the citizens, help them understand the ideology behind this noble cause and ask them to contribute towards the same. At the end of the event, the club generates a huge amount of money and hand it over to the family for taking care of these children. The members celebrate the Independence Day in this unique way and make their contribution to the society in their tiny way.

The LEO club doesn’t see what they can gain rather they look for what they can give. To the people. To the society. To the country. To Humanity. They reciprocate love and hope in all possible ways. The LEO Club tends to bring a change, a revolution. Cherish and re-live these moments as they have been cherishing, for the past 20 years, while simultaneously offering a noble service to the society.

So come and be a part of it. Head towards Golibar Maidan Chowk at 9:30 and give your contribution in this noble cause. Let’s make this Independence Day more than a holiday.

Jai Hind!!
