The Hackwarts 2024: Mumbai ka Magic hackathon, held at Shree L.R. Tiwari College of Engineering on October 9th and 10th, was a weekend to remember! Bringing together some of the brightest young minds from across Mumbai, the 24-hour hackathon-ideathon hybrid challenged participants to solve real-world problems while offering the unique opportunity to pitch and sell their projects to judges and industry leaders.

The event kicked off on October 10th with an air of excitement as teams gathered to address pressing urban challenges. From waste management to traffic optimization, participants worked around the clock to develop practical, innovative solutions tailored to the needs of Mumbai. In addition to coding, the event featured a special Movie Night, providing participants with a much-needed break and the chance to relax and recharge. The screening added a fun element to the intense coding marathon, contributing to the unique atmosphere of the hackathon

Standout Projects and Winning Teams

Judges were blown away by the creativity and resourcefulness displayed by the teams. Projects included a smart public transportation app using real-time data, and an AI-based waste management solution aimed at reducing pollution in the city.

The Winning Team: A team that developed a solution to manage Mumbai’s traffic congestion using data-driven insights and real-time updates took home the top prize. Their project not only impressed the judges but also garnered interest from potential investors!
