On 14th December 2024, the curtains rose on the landmark 10th edition of PRoelio, the largest PR-based case competition in the country.
With over 800 registrations pouring in from top B-schools, PRoelio 10.0 lived up to its legacy, showcasing the brightest minds competing on this year’s compelling theme: “From Crisis to Credibility.”
Organized with unparalleled zeal by iSMaRT, the PR Team of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, this year’s event brought together strategic thinkers, storytellers and problem-solvers to tackle real-world PR challenges.
Supported by esteemed sponsors Bespoke Factory, Campus Times Pune, InsideIIM, AltUni.in, InsideKampus and Unstop, the competition set a new benchmark in terms of scale, intensity and creativity.
As PRoelio celebrated its 10th edition, it continued to uphold its mission of nurturing future PR leaders by simulating high-pressure, real-world scenarios. The competition challenged participants to craft innovative solutions, turning potential crises into opportunities to build credibility and trust. PRoelio’s evolution over the years reflects its growing stature and its unwavering commitment to excellence in the field of public relations.
This year’s competition was more intense than ever, with a prize pool of ₹1.35 lakh adding to the high stakes and competitive spirit among participants.
This year’s national-level finals were judged by an esteemed panel of industry experts: Mr. Avinash Gawai, Mr. Harshwardhan Dengwekar and Ms. Roshni Rohira, who brought decades of expertise to the table. The finalists impressed the judges with their depth of research, creative strategies and ability to think on their feet under the intense scrutiny of industry veterans.
One of the most riveting aspects of PRoelio 10.0 was the Journalist Panel, comprising first-year MBA students who took on the challenging role of journalists. During a mock press conference, these budding communicators grilled the finalists with incisive and thought-provoking questions, probing deep into their strategies, ethical considerations and potential outcomes.
Their fierce questioning and sharp analytical approach added an extra layer of intensity to the competition, simulating the high-pressure environment PR professionals face in real life.
Among this dynamic group, Ashutosh Nanda from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune stood out and was crowned Best Journalist for their exceptional ability to frame insightful questions and maintain a commanding presence throughout the event. Their performance demonstrated not only journalistic prowess but also the importance of clarity and conviction in public relations.
The competition witnessed fierce rivalry among the top teams, but in the end, it was Team Alpha Q from T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal consisting of Aditya Choudhury, Devanshu Bhansali and Rakshita Aggarwal emerged victorious as the National Winner, claiming the top spot with their razor-sharp insights and flawless execution.
The National Runner-Up position was secured by Team Cognition from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune consisting Audriza Sarkar, Diwas Dawer and Kurisetti Sai Naga Susmitha who impressed everyone with their innovative solutions and impactful storytelling.
PRoelio 10.0 was more than just a competition; it was a celebration of creativity, collaboration and critical thinking. The event not only highlighted the strategic importance of public relations in today’s fast-paced, crisis-driven world but also underscored the value of teamwork and resilience in overcoming challenges.
