The 8th edition of the annual TEDxCRCE conference, held in association with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), focused on the theme ‘Cracks in the Canvas’, which encourages embracing imperfections, celebrating diversity, and embracing unconventionality. It was held on 3rd February, 2024 at Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering, Bandra.
The event began with ‘Abhishek Bhattacharya’ shedding light on the future of FinTech and BlockchainTech, providing valuable insights into emerging trends in financial technology. Following his engaging talk, ‘Pramoud Rao’, delved into the future of pet safety technology. Professor ‘Hemant Nanavati’ from IIT-Bombay enriched the audience’s understanding with perspectives on the intersection of research and academia.
Following his enlightening discourse, ‘Officer Sameer Wankhede’, representing the Indian Revenue Service cadre, then highlighted the imperative of building a substance-free India in his talk on NASHA MUKT BHARAT. ‘Devang Thapliyal’, an adventurer and Himalayan Rescuer, subsequently shared gripping tales of bravery and survival, inspiring the audience with his daring escapades following him was the Travel/Food Show Presenter ‘Rohan Patoley’ he captivated attendees with captivating stories and insights into travel and culinary exploration, offering a change of pace and adding vibrancy to the event. ‘Ridhi Khosla Jalan’ showcased the transformative power of 3D printing in design innovation, seamlessly connecting technology and creativity. Lastly, Mr. Mandar Karanjkar, a versatile artist, shared his exploration of life’s imperfections through music and cultural stories, leaving a lasting impression on the audience and bringing a reflective note to the event’s proceedings. Each speaker contributed to the event’s diversity of thought and enriched the collective experience with their unique perspectives.
The event featured performances by Rachit Agarwal and ZOR band, and Hrishi with Banjaarey band.
