Horizon 2025, the Management Fest of FCC IITH, brings together top speakers and leaders to share insights on finance, consulting, and product management. Look forward to thoughtprovoking keynote talks, hands-on workshops, panel discussions, career meetups, networking lobbies, competitions, and, of course, Pronites to keep the energy going! Drawing inspiration from the essence of a voyage—the courage to set sail, the resilience to navigate challenges, and the wisdom gained along the journey—Horizon 2025 promises to be a celebration of innovation, exploration, and transformation.
PRE-HORIZON
The stage for Horizon 2025 was set by the pre-fest event featuring renowned personal finance expert Pranjal Kamra. His insightful session on personal finance and investment provided a beginnerfriendly roadmap for managing wealth, leaving the audience inspired and eager to delve deeper into the nuances of financial literacy. Pranjal’s approachable style and expertise struck a chord with students and professionals alike, underscoring FCC’s commitment to bridging knowledge gaps in finance and consulting.
Whats in store?
Horizon’25 will kick off with a keynote by Ankur Warikoo, internet entrepreneur and founder of Nearbuy. The following day, Dr.Arokiaswamy Velumani, founder of Thyrocare, will share his entrepreneurial journey. Both speakers, embodying the theme “Voyage: Navigating the Unconventional,” will motivate participants to push boundaries and embrace innovative approaches in finance,
consulting, and management. We have an an exciting array of events designed to engage and inspire. Events lined up include: “All
About MBAs,” which offers a comprehensive guide to pursuing an MBA after engineering. With speakers like CATKing, Tony Xavier (Ex-IIM Lucknow), Richa (Ex-IIM Bangalore, IITH), and a professional with international MBA experience, the session delves into preparation strategies, life post-MBA, and the value of the degree in navigating career transitions. Another highlight is “Breaking Brands,” an exploration of the art and science of building iconic brands. Industry leaders Adithi S. (Director of Product, Uber) and Vaishnavi (Director of Product, Swiggy) will share insights into the strategies behind platforms like Uber and Swiggy. This session will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the creativity and innovation that drive successful brand creation. Along with these- some finance-centric sessions, like “Million-Dollar Deal Makers,” will shine a spotlight on the intricacies of major financial transactions. From mergers to acquisitions, this session will offer participants a front-row seat to the decision-making processes and skills that shape transformative deals. Similarly, “Hands-On Finance” will provide practical exposure to financial concepts through realworld scenarios, making it an invaluable experience for attendees.
The fest also includes thrilling competitions that are the heart of Horizon 2025, drawing immense participation and fostering intense intellectual engagement. “Mergers & Acquisitions” challenges participants to craft strategies and simulate the negotiation processes behind major corporate deals, testing their analytical prowess and decision-making capabilities. Meanwhile, “EquityX” offers a high-octane simulation of equity markets, pushing contestants to think on their feet and adapt to dynamic financial scenarios, all while showcasing their investment acumen.
Adding to the excitement is “ProdX,” an event that has already made waves with 650 registrations and a 25k+ outreach. This collaborative venture with The Product Folks (TPF) attracts participants from premier institutions like IIMs, ISB, IITs, and BITS, alongside corporate professionals, underscoring the event’s prestige and far-reaching impact. It exemplifies the FCC’s dedication to creating platforms that not only challenge the brightest minds but also offer unparalleled opportunities for learning and networking.
